AlchemyAI Automations (hereinafter, "we", "our" or "the Company") is responsible for the processing of personal data related to FloWords (hereinafter, "the Application").
This Policy describes how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other applicable legislation.
1. Fundamental Privacy Principle
FloWords operates under a local processing by default model. The content of your transcriptions, audio recordings and usage data remain on your device. We do not access or store this content on our systems.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect, store or process:
- Transcription content or audio recordings
- Screen or clipboard data
- Usage telemetry or behavioral analytics
- Location information
- Activity or error logs
4. Local Data Processing
4.1 Transcriptions and Audio
All speech-to-text processing is performed locally on your device using artificial intelligence models running in memory. Audio files and generated text are never transmitted outside your computer unless you explicitly enable optional third-party features.
4.2 Local Storage
Transcriptions, settings, custom dictionaries and preferences are stored exclusively on your device through local databases. The Company does not have access to this information.
4.3 Trial Period
The trial period start date is stored in the operating system's secure keystore (Keychain) to ensure the integrity of the licensing model. This data remains on your device.
5. Optional Third-Party Services
FloWords offers optional integrations with third-party services that require data transmission outside your device:
5.1 AI Text Enhancement
When you enable enhancement features through external artificial intelligence providers, the selected content (transcriptions, screen context or clipboard) is transmitted directly from your device to the chosen provider using API keys that you provide.
5.2 Cloud Transcription
If you opt for cloud-based transcription services, your audio recordings are transmitted directly to the selected provider. We do not intermediate or store this data.
5.3 Third-Party Responsibility
Data transmitted to third-party services is subject to the privacy policies of said providers. We are not responsible for the data processing practices of third parties. API keys are stored locally on your device; we do not collect or store them.
6. Purpose of Processing
We use your personal information exclusively to:
- Validate and activate software licenses
- Process purchase transactions
- Deliver license keys
- Provide technical support when you contact us
- Send product-related communications (can be disabled)
We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
7. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
We process your personal data under the following legal bases:
- Contract performance: To fulfill our licensing obligations
- Legitimate interest: To operate the licensing system and prevent fraud
- Consent: For marketing communications (withdrawable at any time)
8. Data Retention
8.1 License Data
We retain licensing information while your license remains active and up to 2 years after its expiration or cancellation for support and tax compliance purposes.
8.2 Local Data
Data stored locally on your device remains under your full control. You can delete it at any time through the application's features or by uninstalling the software.
8.3 Support Communications
We retain support correspondence for up to 2 years to maintain service quality.
9. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss or alteration. However, no electronic transmission or storage system is completely secure.

Licensing data may be stored on servers located outside your country of residence. When we transfer data outside the European Economic Area, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are implemented in accordance with applicable legislation.
12. Minors
The Application is not intended for minors under the age of 13 (16 in the EU/EEA). We do not intentionally collect information from minors. If you become aware that a minor has provided personal data, contact support@flowords.app for immediate deletion.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy periodically. Substantial changes will be notified through the application or by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of FloWords after modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
